Flooring, our favorite product We generally stock over 30,000 sf. of antique flooring. This includes Long Leaf Pine, Northern Pines, Hemlock, Maple, Oak, and generally a mystery wood or two. Our salvaged stock ranges from 2 3/8ths in width to and occasional 11" width. We mill flooring from antique beams, generally Long Leaf or Loblolly, but sometimes Oak and can provide that in widths up to 7" as a custom order. (Lead time required)
Long Leaf Pine flooring shown above. Along with great stained glass, antique beaded wood wainscot, a beautiful doorknob, and antique clawfoot tub, we carry it all. Adding columns and Long Leaf Pine trim will add incredible beauty to any home. The 9' tall pocket doors help to separate areas yet open them up when company comes. The last picture above shows wider Long Leaf Pine mixed with narrower, but also shows how much lighter in color the fresh milled flooring in the front is compared to the salvaged flooring that has been more exposed to the air. It is darker and the fresh milled will likewise darken too if you give it a little time. Below, natural antique Oak patina milled to a 6" flooring. Next a round saw cut Long Leaf Pine, cark natural patina, and then Long Leaf Pine after it has aged for a couple of years after being fresh milled from antique beams. Sample shows both clear and knotty grades.
Below are some other Long Leaf Pine shots with a patina. Last on the line below is a Northern Pine rustic in a 5" cut.
Long Leaf Pine, freshly refinished and coated with Tung Oil Varnish. Freshly milled 7 inch Long Leaf Pine flooring with Tung Oil Varnish.
2 1/4" vertical grain Pine, followed by an antique Oak milled from old barn beams in a 5" width, and then a random width batch of Long Leaf Pine.
Above, a Rustic Barnwood Floor in a 9" wide cut. Next a 7" wide Antique Pine milled from 90 year old roof decking.
